Helsinki Day at Vuosaaren Library

Welcome to celebrate Helsinki Day on June 12 at Vuosaaren Library! Additional programmes are also held around Vuotalo.

Programme at the library:

Dream City - lego building workshop 14-16 in the library's children's section

What would your dream city look like? Build it with lego! You can also write a poem and borrow books about cities of all kinds.

Vuotalo walks at 12 and 16

On the walk you will get to know the outside and inside of Vuotalo, its history, spaces and activities. We also visit the library, which was renovated last year.

The walk starts outside Vuotalo's main entrance. At the beginning of the tour we are in outdoor spaces. Duration is approximately 40 minutes.

Additional programmes are also held at Vuotalo on Helsinki Day.

Welcome Day welcomes newly arrived residents to Helsinki! At the Welcome Day event from 15-18, new city dwellers get the chance to discover their neighbourhood's services, hobbies and leisure offerings. The event is held on the square outside Vuotalo.

Music is not forgotten on Helsinki Day! At 15 o'clock a family concert is heard when the multilingual band INDABA, playing danceable music, takes the stage. In the evening at 18 o'clock we get to enjoy the show of the headline act Stig!
