Helsinki Day at Vuotalo

Helsinki Day 2026 is celebrated at Vuotalo with a programme starting in the afternoon and continuing into the evening with a concert. All events are free.

At 3 p.m., INDABA takes the stage - a three-piece group whose show combines singing, dancing, and instrumental performances. The music draws from Tanzanian tradition and hip-hop, performed in Finnish, English, Spanish, Swahili, and Sumbwa. The performers are Ayla Brinkmann, Kasheshi Makena, and Yoandy Jimeno.

At the same time, from 3-6 p.m., the Welcome Day event takes place on Vuotalo's lower courtyard, welcoming newly arrived residents to Helsinki. The programme features circus performances by Circus Simoni and Säilättärit.

At 6 p.m., headliner Stig closes out the day. Stig is known for gold and platinum singles and hits such as Puumaa mä metsästän, Original gigolo, and Roy Orbison, and has also appeared on the TV show Vain elämää with his Kuningaskobra interpretation.
