Helsinki Day at Maunula-talo Summer Square

On the stage built on the square, the Finnish rap duo Eevil Stöö & Kriso, who released their joint album Luotathan in late 2025, will perform alongside Hassan Maikal, a singer-songwriter known for his moving and courageous storytelling.

The evening opens with Hugo Toosi, a young artist selected through an open call who will release his solo debut in spring 2026. Between performances, DJ Renaz, known from YleX, Radio Helsingfors, and the clubs Random Nights and SWANA Nights, will keep the audience engaged. Students from the WEAREKREATIV dance school will dance on the square to the DJ's music.

Beyond the music programme, the organization Sanan Paino, which focuses on combating hate speech through hip hop, will run a graffiti workshop. Maunula Library will feature a book exhibition on hip hop literature, and Månsas Deli's summer café will serve visitors during the event.

Hugo Toosi at 17.30

Hugo Toosi is a Helsinki-based rapper also known from the band 6kulma!. Since 2012, the artist has developed his own sound, blending modern production with traditional rap lyrics in his music.

The solo debut "TOOSI" released in May 2026 captures the artist's deepest essence - samples, synth, and plenty of humour!

Hassan Maikal at 18.30

Hassan Maikal is a unique singer-songwriter who captivates by blending pop, rap, and Afromusic. He released his highly anticipated second album Ilmaista terapiaa in autumn 2024. The moving concept album takes the listener on a journey through different layers and dimensions of love.

The artist's debut album Betonitarha, released in 2021, received an outstanding reception from the music industry. In recognition of his courage to be original and trust in the power of storytelling, the album received four Emma nominations, including the Album of the Year nomination.

Eevil Stöö and Kriso, counted among Finland's most respected and original rap scene names, released their joint album Luotathan.
