Helsinki Day at Maunula-talo Summer Square

Helsinki Day is celebrated at Maunula-talo's summer square with live music, DJ sets, dancing, and workshops.

The evening opens with rapper Hugo Toosi at 17.30 - a Helsinki-based artist known from the band 6kulma! and whose solo debut "TOOSI" is released in May 2026. At 18.30, singer-songwriter Hassan Maikal takes the stage, whose second album Ilmaista terapiaa came out in autumn 2024; his debut album Betonitarha (2021) received four Emma nominations, including Album of the Year. The evening concludes at 20.00 with the Finnish rap duo Eevil Stöö & Kriso, performing alongside producer Pehmee Goon, who created their joint album Luotathan (autumn 2025). DJ sets at 17.00, 18.00, and 19.30 are handled by Renaz, known from YleX, Radio Helsinki, and the clubs Random Nights and SWANA Nights. Students from the WEAREKREATIV dance school perform hip hop freestyle sessions to the DJ music.

Alongside the music programme, the Sanan Paino association runs a graffiti workshop from 17.00 to 20.00. Maunula Library features a hip hop-themed exhibition, and Månsas Delin summer café serves on the square throughout the event.
