Knit in Public Day is an international annual event celebrated in June. Neulojat ry organizes it in collaboration with Hyvät Martat ry on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in central Helsinki.

The day begins with a knitting parade: gathering at Narinkkatori at 11:00 a.m., departure at 11:15 a.m. The parade follows a short route and ends at Kansalaistori, after which participants move to communal knitting on the 2nd floor of Keskustakirjasto Oodi from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Both experienced knitters and beginners are welcome. You can join at any point and stay as long as you wish.
