Forest Bugs and Creatures - Clay Modelling Workshop
Stoa, Helsinki
ilmainen
Come and shape your own imaginative creature from Finnish red clay!
The workshop is inspired by various endangered insects and animals, especially those that inhabit the Stansviken area. The forest is a protective home for tree frogs and flying squirrels. Many small forest creatures are also important in nature's cycle - for example, as food for birds.
Your finished clay creature can either be photographed and left as part of a growing installation displayed throughout the summer in the art exhibition, or taken home if you prefer. The workshop is free.
The workshop suits all ages. Available space limits how many can participate at once. Children under 10 participate with a guardian.
Facilitators:
Minttu Pyykkönen
Emiel Riiko
The workshop is part of the supporting programme for the "Nature Relations" exhibition shown in Stoa's gallery.
The workshop is held in the Terrarium classroom on the 2nd floor of Stoa's entrance.
Free entry.
