Rosettes, Nevala + summer activities and meetings - Malmi summer season 2026

From 14.30 to 18.30, Malmi's youth work unit organizes open summer activities and meetings for everyone. Location: Lower Malmi Square.

From 15.00 to 16.00, Nevala performs - a Helsinki band formed by four former roommates whose music brings together friendship, songwriting, and pop. The band's second album Take Me to the Honky Tonk explores liberation and revelry - spiritual, musical, or in a cheap nightclub. The album was recorded in a small log cabin under the direction of Väinö Karjalainen, and some tracks were created on the island of Styrö off the coast of Gothenburg. The quartet is accompanied by a band featuring Riku Sonkkanen, Kalle Outila, and Adeola Ikuesan. Location: Konttilava, Lower Malmi Square.

From 17.00 to 18.00, Rosettes performs - a group formed in 2021 in Helsinki whose influences span various rhythm music genres: the groove of soul and R&B combines with a jazzy atmosphere and DIY spirit. Rosettes has performed at events including Burghausen's jazz festival and Tavastia. Their latest vinyl single Souvenir/Green Ray was released via Timmion Records in August 2024, and their debut album Lifestyles came out on 4.4.2025.
