It's time for My Kantsu

In June, Kannelmäki's Sitratorilla square comes alive as the tracks are being repaired. During the track renovation, Kanneltalo brings an outdoor exhibition to Sitratorilla called My Kantsu.

Black-and-white portraits and texts introduce people for whom Kannelmäki is important and beloved. The exhibition features kantsuites from many generations as well as people who have recently arrived in the neighbourhood. In Kannelmäki, everyone can live in their own way - that is precisely what residents consider to be Kantsu's beauty.

The opening of the My Kantsu exhibition is celebrated on Tuesday, 16 June 2026 from 17-19 at Sitratorilla.
The photographs are by photographer and artist Anna Autio, the texts are by journalist Kaisa Viitanen.
"The exhibition is a tribute to Kannelmäki's diversity. Each of the people selected for the photographs has their own relationship with Kantsu", the creators say.
