On Wednesday 24.6.2026 during Pride week, Itäkeskus Library hosts a program for all adults and rainbow seniors: enjoy stories, sing from your heart, rewrite your life, and embrace improvisational theatre!

Welcome to knit in all the colours of the rainbow at Pride week's story circle! We serve tea, stories and emotions!

Group Singing for Seniors 13-14

At the seniors' group singing session, we sing songs that fit the Pride theme - about love, courage and humanity from different decades. Come and enjoy the music and togetherness just as you are! Led by Kirsikka Ojala, Opera Tellus

Opera Tellus, Pride Improvisation 14-15

Improvisation is art created in the moment, where acceptance and presence with yourself and others are key. All you need is a cheerful attitude, openness and a pinch of courage to participate. From these ingredients come stories and pleasant togetherness. What better way to celebrate equality and diversity! The improvisation is led by Satu-Lotta Pitko/Opera Tellus

Rainbow Seniors' Writing Workshop 15.15-16.45

Welcome to write about rainbow life together with author Heidi Airaksinen.

We do gentle autobiographical writing exercises together and discuss the thoughts they spark and rainbow life experiences. Bring your writing materials. The workshop also features Heidi's small blind dog Dandy, who loves people and always needs petting.
