Myrskyluodon Maija

Heidi Kyrö performs the musical drama Myrskyluodon Maija at Kivinokan summer theatre in Helsinki on 24 June. The stage adaptation based on Anni Blomqvist's classic opens in June, featuring Kyrö alongside Inga Sulin and Juho Taskinen. Jussi Helminen's adaptation brings the familiar story to a new setting - the world known from Åke Lindman's 1970s television version, the 2024 film, and Lasse Mårtenson's song now takes the summer theatre stage. The orchestra is conducted by Matti Puurtinen. Kyrö has two Finnish performances scheduled across summer and autumn, with the second taking place in Levi in September.
