Sign-Making Workshop at Stoa's Youth Pride Festival

The sign-making workshop is a nonstop creative space where young people brainstorm slogans and make their own signs for Saturday's Pride parade. Paint, markers, cardboard, and brushes are provided on-site - you can also bring your own materials. The instructor can offer ideas for text and images if you'd like. The workshop is free and open to everyone.

The sign-making workshop is part of Stoa's Youth Pride Festival, aimed at people aged roughly 13-29. The event is organized by the East Centre Library, Stoa Cultural Centre, Helsinki Workers' Institute, and Kipinä Youth Activity House.

On Stoa's square there is also a print workshop (rainbow prints on fabric bags), a pin workshop (pronoun and flag pins), and Sirkus Magenta's circus workshop. The library's rainbow shelf offers book tastings, and the Kennel Club's companion dogs are welcome at the event. Music is provided by DJ Koolla and indie artist Carma. There is also a free hot dog buffet, yard games, and street chalk art in front of Matthew Church.

The event has zero tolerance for bullying and discrimination. If you encounter inappropriate behavior, you can speak with the organizers.
