Reading Dog Warma

Want to practice reading aloud? A reading dog is a patient listener who makes reading stress-free. During the summer, Warma, a reading dog trained by the Kennel Club, visits Lumon Library in Vantaa. You can read to the dog twice: Thursday 25.6 from 5-6 pm and Thursday 9.7 from 5-6 pm.

Each reading session lasts a maximum of 15 minutes. You can read your own book or choose one from the library shelves. Warma's owner is present throughout the entire session. The age recommendation is 5 years and up, and children under school age must bring an adult.

Reading times are booked at Lumon Library's information desk or by phone 043 825 1305. One reader at a time. Warma is a reading buddy, not a playmate - focus on reading. Reading dogs enjoy being petted, but ask the owner's permission first.
