Made in Vuosaari Opening - Japanese Tea Ceremony

Welcome to the opening of Anne Roininen's Made in Vuosaari artwork on June 25, 2026 at Vuotalo's grounds!

Roininen and Henriikka Ahtiainen are hosting a Japanese tea ceremony to celebrate the opening. The ceremony uses cups, dishes, and vessels collected from local residents - items once considered disposable are given new, meaningful purpose.

Anne Roininen is a sculptor who often works site-specifically and process-based. Encounters with people are central to her practice, and her works frequently carry political resonance.

Henriikka Ahtiainen teaches Japanese tea art in the Urasenke tradition at a Japanese tea house on Suomenlinna and currently serves as general secretary of the Suomen Urasenke Tankokai ry association.
