Made in Vuosaari Opening - Japanese Tea Ceremony

Anne Roininen's Made in Vuosaari artwork opens at Vuotalo's courtyard on 25.6.2026. The opening includes a Japanese tea ceremony organized by Roininen together with Henriikka Ahtiainen.

The tea ceremony uses cups, dishes, and pitchers collected from residents - objects that their owners once considered unnecessary and which now receive a new, meaningful purpose.

Anne Roininen is a sculptor whose work is often site-specific and process-based. Encounters with people are central to her practice, and her works often carry political significance. Henriikka Ahtiainen teaches Japanese tea art in the Urasenke tradition at a Japanese tea house on Suomenlinna and serves as general secretary of Suomen Urasenke Tankokai rf.
