Vaasankatu soi!

Vaasankatu soi! events fill the summer street with concerts and crowds on two summer Saturdays (27.6. & 25.7.). The programme features interesting names from Finland's alternative music scene, rising stars and unique acts in the spirit of Vaasankatu.

On the first Saturday, the dynamic rock trio Lala Salama takes the stage, along with Susanna Leppänen who has just released her Metsolat-themed album, Pambikallio with her reimagined alternative pop, Teini-Pää playing sweet indie rock, and Finnish veteran lyricist Asa.

On Saturday 25.7., award-winning Juhlat perform, followed by the ethnofuturistic antifolk band Dänkki Briha, Luukas Oja known for energetic shows and engaging lyrics, Kivesveto Go Go creating modern regional music from Kouvola, and rapper Laineen Kasperi rounding out the Saturday in Kallio.

The event is organized by Helsinki Urban Art ry in collaboration with the City of Helsinki and Kaupunkitilat Oy.
