HrayBery

HrayBery is a Polish-Ukrainian ensemble whose repertoire consists of reconstructed dance music - cossack dances, kolomyika, mazurka, polka and waltz. The melodies are drawn from archival sources such as recordings and sheet music, originating from the border region between Poland and Ukraine where Poles, Ukrainians, Jews and Roma lived side by side.

The ensemble's instruments - violin, kantele, frame drum and bass - were common in the region from the late 16th century onwards. In 2023, the group released their debut album Karczma (Tavern).

HrayBery has performed at dance festivals and concerts in Poland and toured Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Italy. The group also participated in the WOMEX world music festival in Finland in 2025.
