The dance orchestra Vallilan Tango, founded in 2005, performs familiar, obscure, and previously unreleased popular music classics from the 1930s-1950s.

The vintage instrumentation - violin, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, accordion, and banjo ukulele - evokes the crackling gramophone records of those decades. The orchestra's singer is Dutchman Hans Wessels, who left his homeland and ended up in Finland to sing melancholic tangos.
