Aili Järvelä Duo performs on Thursday, 9 July, in Helsinki at Espan lava as part of the Indiespa series. Admission is free. Järvelä brings her latest indie music to a two-date Finnish tour, with the second show on 11 July in Joutsa. The singer-songwriter is known for her strong folk music roots and distinctive authorial voice. Her 2020 song Roihuvuori was selected among the 50 best song lyrics of the millennium in a Helsingin Sanomat reader poll. Her most recent solo album VUORI was released in 2025.

Järvelä won the 2026 Teosto Prize for the compositions and lyrics on her album VUORI; the total prize sum of €40,000 was shared equally with co-winner Joel Järventausta.

Järvelä performed VUORI in full with the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra and Tapiola Sinfonietta at the April Jazz festival in Espoo - the album's first full performance in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
