Sudenmorsiamet - Open Stage

Sudenmorsiamet is an Ingrian Finnish folk music ensemble rooted in the East Baltic traditions of Ingria. The group came together when childhood friends reunited and discovered an immediate musical connection.

Their song collection draws from layers of different centuries: the ensemble retrieves forgotten texts and melodies from archives and collections, explores their origins, and rearranges them anew. The repertoire also includes original compositions based on family memories and stories of ancestors' daily lives.

Ingrian Finnish folk traditions have largely been overshadowed by history. Sudenmorsiamet work to preserve this heritage through concerts, workshops, and recordings.
