Pohjolan Ilmari is an artistically uncompromising band that now returns after a lengthy hiatus. Their stories speak of sorrowful fates, the deaths of loved ones, contentment in the face of humanity's end, and hospital visits - yet everything is marked by human warmth and humour.

Musically, the band's newer work is winding and no longer adheres strictly to the Kallio-romantic framework of their debut album "Enkä mä rakasta ketään" (which received an Emma nomination, critics' choice), instead relying on an aesthetic vision as the binding element between songs.
