Jussi Rinta-Hoiska: From Darkness to Light

Jussi Rinta-Hoiska has worked with social themes for nearly 20 years. The exhibition features both established and new photographic and video works.

"My first artistic photograph, From Darkness to Light, was completed in 2006. It has been almost 20 years since then."

The exhibition's works tell the story of a young girl's journey. At first, the girl does not know which direction to go - she lacks knowledge and feels like an outsider. Eventually, the girl finds a key and escapes from the closed space. Along her journey, she explores society and herself, moves from darkness to light, and finds confidence through language.

A guided tour in Finnish sign language will be held on Saturday, 22 August 2026, from 13:00 to 14:00.
