Tiisu

Finnish rock band Tiisu presents its new album "Famous Last Words" on a tour across the country. The band was founded in the early 2010s by singer-songwriter Henrik Illikainen together with bassist Väinö Karjalainen, drummer Riku Sonkkanen, guitarist Petteri Pulkkinen, and keyboardist Antti Vuorenmaa.

Tiisu broke through in 2015 with the debut album "School of Life", described as a "mad carnival" of Finnish rock. The album was chosen as YleX's album of the week and established the band as a new force in Finnish rock. The second album "No One Stays Here" from 2017 was darker and more serious but also received recognition. After a break, the band returned in 2022 with the album III, which showed musical development and received excellent reviews.

The new album addresses themes such as climate crisis, societal fractures, contradictions in friendship, and the absurd core of humanity. The band plays with passion and an open heart, and their music is described as suomirock with burning eyes and an open heart.
