About
Tiisu is a Helsinki-based suomirock band that took shape in the early 2010s when singer-songwriter Henrik Illikainen moved from Somero to the capital and gathered his Sibelius-lukio classmates around him. The quintet - Illikainen, bassist Väinö Karjalainen, drummer Riku Sonkkanen, guitarist Petteri Pulkkinen and keyboardist Antti Vuorenmaa - broke through with the 2015 debut Elämän koulu, and their radio hits 'Elämältä turpiin sain' and 'Virtaset' each crossed two million streams on Spotify. Their fourth album, Kuuluisat viimeiset sanat (February 2026), tackles climate crisis, social fractures and the absurdities of being human across 16 tracks.
