Ricky-Tick Big Band is a 17-member jazz orchestra from Helsinki, founded in 2010 by composer and conductor Valtteri Laurell Pöyhönen. The band is best known for its long-running collaboration with rap collective Julkinen Sana - a pairing that blends big band jazz with Finnish-language hip-hop - and has played over 100 shows at major Finnish festivals including Pori Jazz, Flow Festival and Ruisrock, as well as abroad at Germany's Moers Festival and the Stockholm Culture Festival. Their 2013 debut with Julkinen Sana, Burnaa, spent 17 consecutive weeks on the Finnish album chart, and the group returned in 2026 with a fourth album, Liikkuu, after a six-year hiatus.
