Timo Lassy (born 1974, Helsinki) is a Finnish tenor saxophonist, composer and bandleader who studied at the Sibelius Academy and Amsterdam Conservatory. He rose to international attention as a member of The Five Corners Quintet before building a prolific solo career, releasing over ten albums on labels including Ricky-Tick Records, Schema and We Jazz. His music moves freely between hard bop, soul jazz and Latin grooves, and he has won both the Emma award for Jazz Album of the Year and the Finnish Jazz Federation's Yrjö prize for Jazz Musician of the Year.
Timo Lassy Trio released the live album 'Live in Helsinki' on We Jazz Records, recorded at G Livelab Helsinki in September 2023.
