GUITAR SLINGERS summer gig at On The Rocks!

Guitar Slingers, a cornerstone of Finnish adult rock, released their self-titled debut album in 1995. The singles from this album - "Baby It's Alright", "This Is Forever" and "Breakaway" - have been among the most popular songs in the band's setlist for three decades. Led by Jore Marjaranta and Ben Granfelt, the band has released three studio albums, three compilation albums and around twenty singles during their career. The band's latest release, originally recorded by Boston, "Amanda", is also available on all music streaming services.

Guitar Slingers consists of:
Jore Marjaranta - vocals, acoustic guitar
Ben Granfelt - guitar, vocals
Vesa Kääpä - bass, vocals
Petri Auer - keyboards
Kai Jokiaho - drums

The evening opens with singer-guitarist Jasmine Wynants-Granfelt. Wynants-Granfelt was born in Belgium and grew up in Singapore and the Netherlands. She moved to Finland in 2011 after meeting her husband Ben Granfelt. Throughout her career, "Jassi" has performed around the world with several top artists, including Deep Purple, Green Day, TNT, Supergrass, Skunk Anansies, Mark Lanegan and Adam Kowalczyk. The artist, who released the solo album "In My Mind" in 2019, mostly performs troubadour-style gigs and is now very excited to play with the band.
