Room Full of Hendrix
Room Full of Hendrix continues its tour honouring Jimi Hendrix's 60-year solo career at Tavastia-klubi on Wednesday 17.6.2026. The early-year leg of the tour drew packed houses and rave reviews across Finland.
The programme includes Purple Haze, Voodoo Child (Slight Return) and Little Wing, among others. The band's guitarist Juho "Kihara" Pitkänen is a renowned Hendrix interpreter who played Jimi's role in the Aleksanteri Theatre's musical Club 27. Hannu Sormunen plays bass and Jarkko Rantanen plays drums (Beatles band). In its current line-up, the band has been active for five years.
Tavastia's ground floor is accessible; there is a small threshold at the entrance with an accessible ramp, and the venue has an accessible toilet. An assistant may enter with the assisted person's regular ticket - an EU disability card will be presented upon request.
Cloakroom costs 4 € per person, and coats and large bags must be left there for security reasons. Drinks can be ordered in advance and collected at the pick-up point until the main artist's performance begins; sales close 2 hours before doors open. Before the concert, you can dine or have a drink at Restaurant Ilves.
With an environmental ticket for 3 €, proceeds go to Tavastia and the Natural Heritage Foundation's forest collection to expand the protected area acquired in October 2024. Tavastia has zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, discrimination, violence and abuse of power - every visitor is expected to commit to the principles of a safer space.
