Saimaa releases a new album "Matka mielen ytimeen Vol. 2" in spring 2026, and the album release is celebrated in hot summer vibes at Coolhead Live on Friday, July 10. The evening opens with the magnificent Tinyhawk & Bizzarro. Tickets for the concert are now on sale at Tiketti.

With the album "Matka mielen ytimeen Vol. 2", Saimaa returns to beautiful cover versions. From the album, the singles "Hipit rautaa", "Sotilaat, kansat, maat" and Finlandia have been released so far.

Saimaa's adventure in music, composed of top musicians, is liberating and limitless. Although the band draws influences from classic rock, prog, folk and schlager, the end result is easily accessible and catchy. The band, led by Matti Mikkola, released two five-star albums (Vol. 6 & Vol. 7) within six months in 2024 and toured sold-out halls across Finland. Saimaa's Vol. 6 and Vol. 7 albums, known as a fantastic live band, received exceptional praise from both media and audiences. The band also won the Emma Award for Song of the Year for their work.

The CoolHead Live concert series, organized for the sixth time in July 2026, brings Helsinki's Viik nature reserve a two-week festival of music, sunshine, craft beer and food. On the unique event arena in the tropical garden Gardenia, which can hold up to two thousand people, a diverse mix of domestic and international artists is presented in July. The concerts are organized by the Helsinki-based craft brewery CoolHead Brew, which is based in Gardenia's premises, in collaboration with the program agency Nahka Agency.
