Vesterinen Yhtyeineen is a ten-member ensemble beloved by a broad audience, with a truly expansive musical range. Their unflinching exploratory journey - sometimes across the western landscapes charted by Ennio Morricone, sometimes in the cradle of Slavic darkness, and elsewhere in the wellsprings of Swedish optimism - has produced numerous radio hits and moving songs. The same applies to the lyrics. They don't hold back on emotion. Joy and sorrow are experienced sometimes with quite dark humour. Over more than a decade, the band has found a distinctive and beautiful voice that inspires more and more people to draw from the orchestra's music.
The band's best-known songs include "No One Ever", "On Dark Roads", "Three Good Tips" and "A Happy Man".
Billnäs Bruk
Billnäs Bruk's concert venue is one of the summer's most interesting: a rough and historic industrial hall in a beautiful mill village by the river. Concerts are held in Stora verkstaden, a historic industrial building from the 18th century.
