Four evenings with Finnish top performers at Tavara-aseman Tammerfest!
Tavara-aseman Tammerfest offers once again an interesting and diverse programme featuring gems of Finnish rock. Tickets for the concerts are sold separately or as a more economical four-day package.
On Wednesday 15.7, Auri - featuring Johanna Kurkela, Tuomas Holopainen and Troy Donockley - will take listeners into a cinematic world where electronic pop elements blend with Celtic folk. At the concerts, the band's core trio is complemented by Kai Hahto, Johanna Iivanainen and Mikko Iivanainen. The evening's opening act will be announced later.
On Thursday 16.7, Jolly Jumpers, a legendary band from Tyrnävä recently nominated for an Emma Award, will perform. The band celebrates the 20-year history of its classic album Mobile Babylon with a special concert at Tavara-asema.
Mobile Babylon, released in 2006, was a significant step in the band's long career and is considered one of the best Finnish albums of the 2000s. Guitarist Arimatti Jutila shares his thoughts ahead of the upcoming anniversary concerts: "Jolly Jumpers is now under lucky stars. The band already has a significant legacy, but it continues to create strong new music, and at our shows we sound better than ever. We're playing a long set in Tampere featuring the best tracks from Mobile Babylon plus an extensive selection of songs from the band's other albums."
