Nikki Hill, raised in gospel choirs of North Carolina, comes to G Livelab in July. Last year her concerts sold out well in advance.
Hill became known to a wider audience when she moved to St. Louis with her husband, guitarist Matt Hill. Their live performances earned a reputation for energy and original sound, from Chicago and far beyond. Her debut album "Here's Nikki Hill" was released in 2013, and since then she has toured over 20 festivals and nearly 200 events across the United States and Europe. After her second album "Heavy Hearts Hard Fists", tours have extended to Australia, India, and Morocco - her credits also include the Montreux and Monterey jazz festivals as well as the Byron Bay blues festivals. The latest album "Feline Roots" (2018) pays tribute to the pioneers of roots music and rock'n'roll, with songs ranging from charged blues to punk soul and revival gospel to rockabilly.
The ticket price includes a 3 € service fee. If the event is not sold out, student tickets are sold at the door before the concert starts for 30 € / each - a student card or other proof of student status is required.
