About

Nikki Hill is an American rock and soul singer from Durham, North Carolina, whose sound draws on gospel, R&B, blues and garage rock - a mix she absorbed growing up in church choirs and later living along the Mississippi River in St. Louis, New Orleans and Memphis. She built her reputation through relentless touring before releasing her debut album Here's Nikki Hill in 2013, and has since put out two more self-produced records: Heavy Hearts, Hard Fists (2015) and Feline Roots (2018). Rolling Stone called her 'a vocal powerhouse who don't mess around', and she has played over 30 major festivals worldwide, including Montreux Jazz Festival.
