BluesLovers Presents: Mike Wheeler (US)

Mike Wheeler is a respected blues artist from Chicago and a regular performer at Rosa's Lounge, Kingston Mines, and Chicago's blues festivals. He has released 8 albums on Delmark Records in his modern city blues style, infused with jazz influences - as evidenced by his shared stage with Buddy Guy, BB King, and George Benson, among others. Wheeler is known for his ability to adapt alongside featured soloists, and has frequently performed with Shemekia Copeland, Koko Taylor, Jimmy Johnson, and Son Seals.

For his performances in Finland and Estonia, Wheeler is accompanied by the Highway band, consisting of Jonne Kulluvaara (guitar), Kari Kempas (harmonica & vocals), Jan-Olof Strandberg (bass), and Petteri "Mustekala" Määttänen (drums). The band plays 2 x 45 min sets.

Ticket price includes a 3 € service fee. If the event is not sold out, student tickets are sold at the door before the concert starts for 20 € / ticket - a student ID or other proof of student status is required. The concert is all ages. School-age children under 18 can purchase a student ticket at the door if the concert is not sold out in advance. Children under school age enter free.
