Mike Wheeler (born June 30, 1961, Chicago) is a Chicago blues guitarist, vocalist and songwriter who has been active on the city's blues circuit since 1984. He recorded five albums with Big James & The Chicago Playboys and has released three records under his own name on Delmark Records, earning induction into the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame in 2014. His voice has been compared to Sam Cooke's, and his guitar style draws on funk and jazz alongside classic Chicago blues. He has shared stages with Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy and B.B. King, and written songs for artists such as Nellie Tiger Travis and Demetria Taylor.
