Bear McCreary (USA)

American composer Bear McCreary arrives in Finland for the first time as part of his The Singularity tour. He performs at Tavastia Club in Helsinki on Friday, August 7. McCreary is known for his music to series including Rings of Power, The Walking Dead, and Outlander, and achieved his breakthrough in 2004 with his compositions for Battlestar Galactica. Throughout his career, he has earned two Emmy Awards as well as BAFTA and Grammy nominations for his film music.

The Singularity is a progressive metal-inspired concept album released in 2024 featuring guest artists such as Slash, Serj Tankian, Corey Taylor, and Rufus Wainwright. Alongside the album, a graphic novel has been released in collaboration with several artists. The work follows a science fiction-inspired narrative where heavy guitar sounds and cinematic orchestration interweave.

Tavastia's ground floor is accessible, the entrance has a ramp, and the venue has an accessible restroom. An assistant may enter with the assisted person's regular ticket - upon request, an EU disability card is presented. Cloakroom costs 4 € per person, and outerwear and large bags must be left in the cloakroom for security reasons.
