Toponymy Walk - North Haaga

Local guide Miska Rantanen leads a themed guided walk through the history of place names in North Haaga and the stories behind the area's landmarks. Participants can also share their own memories connected to names and places. The tour reveals, among other things, that North Haaga may be home to the city's only location that earned its nickname from Donald Duck.

The route is approximately 2.7 km long, accessible, and includes both paved and gravel sections. The pace is leisurely with several stops along the way. Rain does not cancel the walk.

Departure point: Thalianauko, in front of Kahvila Makiata (Aino Acktén tie 8). The walk is free and requires no advance registration - it is part of the capital region's nature excursion calendar for 2026.
