Fatboy (SE), Sörnäinen — Jyväskylä

FATBOY celebrates 30 years of their career in 2026. The Swedish band was founded in 1996, and their music has been described as "progressive rockabilly in minor" - a genre where the band combines a strong connection to roots music with continuous curiosity about the new. To mark the anniversary year, the band heads into the studio at Easter 2026 to record their 30-year jubilee album, with singles being released throughout the spring.

The band has welcomed a new member, Thomas "Kakan" Schuldt from Eskilstuna, known from the front row of the band's previous shows. He plays upright bass and electric bass as well as backing vocals. The other members are Thomas Pareigis (vocals, guitar), Hannu Kiviaho (guitar), Jan Lissnils (steel guitar, keyboards) and Johan Svensson (drums, backing vocals).

The evening opens with Sörnäinen, whose debut album "En ehkä halua tietää" is released on Svart Records on 27 March 2026. Founded in 2014, the band plays scrappy country, raw rock and twisted iskelmä. The band's previous recording "Keskity pahuuteen" EP (Svart Records, 2022) has been heard on radio and playlists. The band features guitarist-vocalist Taskinen, bassist Tapio Wilska, guitarist Joonatan Kotila and Motherfucking Japanderi on rhythm section.
