Jyväskylä Big Band & Jepa Lambert - Boogie Wonderland

Jyväskylä Big Band performs with soloist Jepa Lambert at Toivola's Old Yard in early July. The evening's programme is based on Earth, Wind & Fire's catalogue - the American R&B group blends 70s r'n'b, soul, funk and disco. EWF's albums have sold over 100 million copies worldwide.

Jepa Lambert is a soul singer known for his versatile work: he performs as a soloist, session musician, vocal coach and backing vocalist, and also works as a voice actor and dubbing artist. He is also recognizable from TV show bands - he has appeared in programmes including "My Life's Song", "The Voice of Finland", "Dancing with the Stars" and UMK.

Jyväskylä Big Band has been led by conductor and artistic director Ilkka Mäkitalo since 1995. The orchestra has collaborated with international soloists and composers and toured Finnish clubs, concert halls and festivals.
