Stories in Stone - Guided Tour of the Old Cemetery

This guided walk explores the art and stories behind the grave monuments at the Old Cemetery. Wealthy Jyväskylä families erected impressive memorials, commissioning sculptures and other artistic works. During the tour you will also see public artworks on the cemetery grounds, such as Gunnar Finn's "Sacrificial Flame".

Tours are held on 13.7. and 23.7. at 18:00. The starting point is the Old Cemetery's gate on the Tourukaduvägen side, the tour lasts 1.5 hours, and tickets cost 10 € per person. The tour is conducted in Finnish. The cemetery is wheelchair accessible with assistance.
