Night of the Arts — Kanneltalo, Helsinki
Free entry

During the Night of the Arts, Kanneltalo transforms into a forest-floor world where moss scents the air, poems move, and flowers find their place in hair. The evening concludes with shared singing in memory of the past summer.

Protected by the Forest - events
At 17:00, "Forest M" is presented - a moving and poetic sound work by Katja Luhtala and her collective. At 18:00, Susu Rytteri invites the audience to build a collaborative artwork together - the Forest Floor. Throughout the evening, you can also meet the Forest Cat, which you are welcome to pet.

Summer Memories - shared singing 18:00-19:00
In Kanneltalo's auditorium (1st floor), summer melodies are sung under the direction of singing teacher and music educator Satu Luomajoki. The event is free of charge.

Flower Crown Workshop
In the workshop, small flower crowns are made from cut flowers and summer greenery - a decoration that works in hair, as an accessory, or as a gift. The workshop is run by Hupsansaa.

Protected by the Forest - exhibition
Susu Rytteri and the group Forest Cat 2044 guide visitors to the forest's future. The exhibition combines science, art, journalism, music and theatre, and challenges reflection on the forest's future. The artists are Susu Rytteri, Katja Luhtala and Juha-Pekka Väisänen. The whole is the culmination of the two-year Forest Cat 2044 project supported by the Kone Foundation.

Free admission. The event is part of Helsinki's cultural services environmental programme.
