In the Forest's Protection - Forest Floor - A Community Artwork | Arts Night

During Arts Night on Thursday 20.8. at 17.30, you can create a clay artwork called Forest Floor under the guidance of visual artist and biologist Susu Rytteri. While working, we reflect on the relationship between humans and forests - and you'll learn about the health and environmental effects of raw clay and forest microbes mixed into the clay paste. The event suits all ages who want to work with clay. The finished artwork will become part of the exhibition "In the Forest's Protection" displayed in Kanneltalo's gallery. There's also an opportunity to pet the Forest Cat during the event!

Forest Floor is part of the larger "In the Forest's Protection" event series (Fri 14. - Sat 29.8.), which combines art, science, and participation around the future of forests. The series includes performances, workshops, lectures, and discussions:

The exhibition and all events are part of Helsinki's cultural services environmental programme. Admission is free.
