Fest Afrika: Baraka Issabu Quintet

Fest Afrika's 25th anniversary festival week opens at Telakka with Baraka Issabu Quintet, an afro-jazz ensemble of Tanzanian and Finnish musicians. In Baraka's compositions and arrangements, East African rhythms and melodies blend with jazz harmonies and improvisation. The concert is part of the Jazz Suomi 100 theme year and celebrates Fest Afrika's journey, which began at Telakka 25 years ago.
