Sointi Jazz Orchestra and Helsinki Poetry Connection open the Sointien Kalasatama event series with an afternoon combining spoken poetry and music. The programme features sea-themed texts performed by city residents with pianist Aleksis Liukko on accompaniment. The host is Jussi Kiova from Helsinki Poetry Connection rf.

Some performers have been selected through an advance call, but the opportunity to perform can also be inquired about on site. You can perform your own or someone else's text, song, or other piece in any language you choose - performances are limited to a maximum of six minutes.

Shared club space Talas, Koksikatu 12. Free admission. The Sointien Kalasatama series continues until 29.8.2026.
