Suosymposium is an open event that examines environmental art, changing landscapes, and the future of former peat production areas. The event takes place over the weekend at Haihatuksen Art Institute in Joutsa.

The programme features discussions, artistic content, and presentations of experiences and working models developed through the project. During the day, participants will also become acquainted with Haihatuksen's working environment and residency activities.

Suosymposium is implemented as part of a development project by the Humanistic University of Applied Sciences (Humak), where practitioners in art, cultural production, and the environmental sector work together to find new perspectives on environmental change and its artistic treatment.
