Million Dollar Tones - Open Stage — Espan lava, Helsinki

Million Dollar Tones is an eight-piece band that has been active for over a decade, devoted to rootsy rhythm & blues and 1950s rock'n'roll. The lineup features guitar, vocals, piano, bass and drums, plus a two-piece horn section.

The music draws inspiration from New Orleans-flavored piano and saxophone, with a repertoire that alternates between lively dance rhythms and blues ballads. The songs are a mix of original compositions and carefully selected covers.

The band has toured Finnish concert halls, festivals and clubs, as well as performing internationally in Sweden (Mönsterås Blues & Roots International Festival, Hultsfreed Hayride), the Netherlands (Akercity Rock'n Roll Weekend, Roll Street Midsland Terschelling), Estonia (August Blues), Italy (Summer Jamboree) and Spain (European Rock'n'Roll Meeting).

Million Dollar Tones has released three albums: Crazy! (2016, Jungle Records), That's Right! (2019, Bluelight Records) and Come On! (2022, Bluelight Records). The songs are written by guitarist Albert Hallikainen and vocalist Antti Pajula, or are carefully selected covers.

The band consists of Albert Hallikainen (guitar), Antti Pajula (vocals), Matti Roth (piano, backing vocals), Markus Packalen (double bass, backing vocals), Marko Lamminmäki (drums and percussion), Ari Toivonen (tenor saxophone and harmonica) and Ide Miettinen (trumpet).
