Heinähattu, Vilttitossu and the Big Bang

Heinähattu and Vilttitossu's family is expecting a new arrival that needs to be "greased from morning to evening". Vilttitossu is convinced it will be a car - but mother's growing belly cannot be stopped, no matter how hard Vilttitossu tries to prevent the rival newcomer from arriving home. Who will finally emerge from the belly?

Sinikka and Tiina Nopola's libretto is based on the book Heinähattu, Vilttitossu and the Baby. A familiar family situation is handled in the Nopolas' style with humour and from a child's perspective. The work is fully composed, and the siblings are performed by two singing actors. The orchestra consists of an accordion, percussion, and violin - the same musicians also perform the roles of mother and father.
