Agit-Cirk: RapuRequiem
24,80 € / 20 €
RapuRequiem merges spoken theatre and contemporary circus through a dystopian science fiction framework to examine our times. In this absurd and physical work, the question is posed: what if nearly everything were destroyed and the remnants of Western cultural history rested on a single mobile phone and a memory-impaired artist collective?
The artists who survived the catastrophe remember only fragments from before the collapse - the pervasive reach of social media, the absurd torrent of leaders' rhetoric, and humanity's indifference to mounting ecological and human destruction. Their memories are marked by material abundance and biting loneliness, growing inequality, the absence of global solidarity, and nuclear dread.
The group's mission is to preserve scraps of Finnish art history. Their goal is a legendary northern paradise where the air remains pleasantly cool and food is plentiful for all - unless collective amnesia derails their sacred quest.
