Emilia Laatikainen's Exhibition - Helsinki Comics Festival

Festival artist Emilia Laatikainen is a comic artist and visual art teacher whose work features recurring themes of birds, black and white, and shame. Her autobiographical work Ei ois susta uskonu won the Sarjakuva-Finlandia Award in 2024.

Helsinki's 41st Comics Festival takes place 19-20.9.2026 at the Stoa Cultural Centre in Itäkeskus. This year's theme is "Together", and Laatikainen is also responsible for the festival's visual identity. On Friday 18.9, a children's comics festival is also held.
