Open Reading Circle - Short Prose and Poetry, South American Theme

This open reading circle explores South and Latin American short prose and poetry. The first session features an introductory lecture on South American literature; subsequent sessions begin with a brief introduction to the work under discussion, followed by group conversation about the reading experience. The circle is led by poet, visual artist, and creative writing teacher Pilvi Pääkkönen.

Admission is free. You can also participate as a listener or discussant, even if you haven't finished reading the book or haven't read it at all. Books can be reserved from the Helsinki City Library or you can check availability through the Finna.fi service. Some works are also available in the institute's own library.
