Olli Ahvenlahti brings his new quintet to G Livelab in Helsinki on 3 September. The ensemble features trumpeter Jukka Eskola, saxophonist Joonatan Rautio, bassist Ville Herrala, and drummer Jaska Lukkarinen, performing electric jazz funk. G Livelab is a concert hall in central Helsinki, known for its excellent acoustics and capacity of around 350 people. Ahvenlahti plays two Finnish dates on this tour, with the other concert in Tampere the day before. Tickets start from 37.50 euros.

A founding voice of Finnish jazz-funk, Ahvenlahti brings his Fender Rhodes 73 - the same instrument he has played since 1972 - and the New Quintet to the stage, performing material from the 2024 album Mirror Mirror alongside the classic grooves that made his name.

Eskola and the Oulu All Star Big Band released the album Davvi Oktavuohta - Pohjoinen Yhteys with Sámi joik singer Ingá-Máret Gaup-Juuso on Eclipse Records in early 2026.
