Jukka Eskola (born 1978, Espoo) is a Finnish jazz trumpeter, composer, arranger and bandleader who ranks among the most in-demand musicians of his generation. He rose to international attention as a member of The Five Corners Quintet and has since led his own ensembles - the Jukka Eskola Quintet, Jukka Eskola Soul Trio and Jukka Eskola Orquesta Bossa - while contributing as a sideman to well over 200 recordings. Since 2019 he has served as artistic director of the Oulu All Star Big Band, and his 2024 album Nordic Stew, recorded in New Orleans with saxophonist Timo Lassy, brought his work fresh international attention.
Eskola conducted the Oulu All Star Big Band in two concerts with vocalist Vesala at Hupisaarten kesäteatteri in Oulu on 10-11 June 2026, as part of the Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture programme.
Eskola and the Oulu All Star Big Band released the album Davvi Oktavuohta - Pohjoinen Yhteys with Sámi joik singer Ingá-Máret Gaup-Juuso on Eclipse Records in early 2026.
Eskola was named one of the two faces of the Finnish Jazz Federation's 2025 UNESCO International Jazz Day campaign, alongside vocalist Johanna Iivanainen.
The album Nordic Stew, a collaboration between Eskola and saxophonist Timo Lassy recorded in New Orleans with local jazz musicians, was released on 23 February 2024.
