"Kaunis rietas onnellinen" tells the story of Kaija Koon's journey to becoming a confident and courageous artist. The film is a powerful account of one of Finland's greatest artists, whose music has comforted and empowered generations. Pianist Markku sees her talent more clearly than anyone else. Yet success does not come without inner struggle. The grief from her father's death stops Kaija and causes her to temporarily abandon her dreams. When unexpected massive popularity makes Kaija a superstar, she must face not only the shadows of success but also find her own voice - so that she can take the stage freer than ever before.

The film is produced by Solar Films and directed by Selma Vilhunen. It stars Oona Airola and Jari Virman.
